About Lori Brewer Collins
Lori guides leaders to develop the skills necessary to transform themselves, their organizations, their industries and sectors, and the world. Through Brewer Collins Leadership LLC, her global coaching and leadership development consultancy, she focuses on strategic change management and team development at the senior executive levels. Her approach expands their individual and collective capacities to navigate complexity, catalyze cross-functional collaboration, and lead innovative system-wide transformation. Lori is a recognized thought leader in the fields of vertical development, polarity management, and global leadership agility. She has over 25 years of experience working as a certified executive coach, leadership development expert, and internationally recognized facilitator in over 30 countries on five continents. A notable roster of clients—ranging from Fortune 100 companies to government agencies—benefit from the global perspective this dual citizen of America and Belgium brings to their boardrooms and conference tables.
In 2016, Lori founded Cultivate the Karass, a 501(c)3 inspired by the life and work of her late son, Jake Brewer. Cultivate the Karass (CtK) works with policy change-makers to: bridge ideological differences; craft powerful, collaborative relationships; reduce hyper-partisanship; and elevate public discourse. Lori has moved people to cultivate this spirit of connection through her keynotes at: the White House Open Data Summit, the Personal Democracy Forum, Code for America, two Institutes of Politics (Harvard Kennedy School, University of Chicago), and the McCourt School of Public Policy (Georgetown University).
As a leadership consultant, Lori has served as: global solutions manager for the Center for Creative Leadership (EMEA - Brussels); senior principal for Cambria Consulting (Boston, MA); (Boston, MA); and senior principal of Axialent Consulting. As a leader at Saturn Corporation, she managed Leadership and Corporate Culture for 8 years. She began her career as an operations analyst at General Motors.
Lori earned a M.Ed. in Human Resource Development (Vanderbilt University), pursued a Master of Theological Studies (Vanderbilt Divinity School), and holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Michigan State University). She also holds accreditations in a wide variety of psychometrics, including: Global Leadership Profile, Vertical Mindset Indicator, MBTI, DiSC, FIRO-B, and the Hogan Suite.
She lives a transatlantic life between Arlington, Virginia and Brussels, Belgium with her husband Craig. Exploring new cultures, creating art, and spending time with Jake’s children and her two daughters are her greatest joys.
